In King’s Favor, noble dogs scheme for royal approval by carefully managing the kingdom’s treasury, and outmaneuvering rivals with timely Royal Decrees. Secret Little Bird agents grant each player a once-per-game power, adding courtly mischief, clever twists, and just the right amount of royal sabotage. *Royal Decrees create mayhem or leverage for players.
The object of the game is to have the lowest points at the end of the game. King’s Favor is typically played over 11 rounds, though players may agree to play fewer rounds.
Each round increases by 1 card, ending with 11 cards in the final round.
During each round, players try to lower the points in their hand to zero by collecting sets (minimum 3 cards) or runs (minimum 3 cards of the same suit).
To go out, all cards in your hand must be part of sets or runs. If someone succeeds, they declare, “I’m out!” and everyone else has one last turn before tallying their score. The player with the fewest points at the end wins the game.
Whoever goes out each round earns a “favor” from the King, which can be saved as VP for the end or used during a round to turn the tables.
Rummy-style card game based on 3-13 with a few twists.
Make decrees to hinder your opponents or help yourself. Whatever you decree.
2 per player . Use them wisely!
